~~Jasper by Suzanne McRae~~

I have loved dolls ever since I was a little girl. My first baby doll was a Madame Alexander Pussycat. I had received many over my younger years. Sadly, I did not keep any of them.

My favorite dolls are "baby dolls." As a pediatric nurse, I have a love of children and I am very partial to newborns and their care.

I have a large collection of OOAK (one of a kind) dolls. They are made mostly from a polymer clay and hand sculpted.

I have 1 silicone, 1or 2 reborns, a couple Lee Middletons and a silicone/vinyl by Laura Tuzio Ross.

The following poem was written by a fellow doll collector,

Terry Quinn:

I am on a Merry go round, when will it end?
I think I am happy, when
round the bend,

There turns up a cute dolly, that I just love,
and I gotta find a way, to rise above,

My ongoing desires for new dollies, that come,
before my eyes and beg for someone,

to take them home, and make them mine,
Just when I think, I am doing just fine,

with the dollies that, I already have here,
and I say, no more, though I fear,

that it will happen again and ruin the fun
of being happy, with just these ones.

OH my, oh dear, What will I do?
I tell myself, tis ok to get new...

after all, it is just one more
to take in when it arrives at my door,

and love and hug and fit in with the group,
and here we
go back, on this loop

I am on a
merry go round when will it end
going up and down and
round the bend.
